Pickled Cabbage

Recipe of the Week

Ingredients
1 Head of Cabbage
4 Large Carrots
4 Cups of Water
1/2 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Vinegar
Season to taste

Instructions
1. Boil a half cup of sugar for every 4 cups of water
2. Add bay leaves, cloves, peppercorns, salt, or proffered seasonings to water
3. Once all the sugar has dissolved, remove from heat, add vinegar, and pour over shredded cabbage and shredded carrots
4. Let soak until water has cooled
5. Once cool jar and refrigerate over night
